2nd Seed Of Light Destiny 2
Destiny 2 is all about earning new loot and growing as powerful as you can. But figuring out how to get your strength up quickly, especially following the trio of expansions — Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and Forsaken — can be a bit confusing. That’s why we’ve made this Destiny 2 power leveling guide, which breaks down everything you need to do to max out your power level.
Step one: Get to level 50
- Today's Destiny 2 update added an easy way to get your third Seed of Light By Austin Wood 2018-09-25T23:15:09Z News How to unlock your third new subclass without relying on the Last Wish raid.
- Destiny 2 Forsaken‘s been out for a little while, and players are little by little entering its endgame location, the Dreaming City. We’ve a little guide on one of its big tickets, the Blind Well. The Blind Well is much like Destiny: The Taken King‘s Court of Oryx. Located in the palace-type thing just ahead and to the right from the Dreaming City’s online landing zone, Guardians are required to use a Tier I, Tier II or Tier III consumable to initiate a special event.
This week’s reset in Destiny 2: Forsaken sees The Shattered Throne return, and the best version of Petra Venj’s Gateway between worlds bounty. This bounty appears every three weeks, so if you.
The first goal on the road to reaching endgame is to max out your character level. For many players, completing the story campaign and the expansionstory missions will get you most of, if not, all the way there. Along the way, you’re bound to find weapons and gear that are too powerful for you. This is because Destiny 2 measures your capabilities by your Power rating.
As with Light in Destiny, power level is the average of all your gear, and is a measurement of your overall strength, offensively and defensively. As you move through the story, each activity has a suggested power level in the Director. If your power is low, spend time completing side objectives like public events and adventures to get better gear.
Power level will steadily increase throughout the game. New, more powerful weapons and armor regularly drop from enemies. Gear that’s common (white), uncommon (green), and rare (blue) will continue to have higher and higher power levels as you go. They top out at around 500 with Forsaken installed, so once you hit that power level, dismantle any green or blue drops you get. You no longer need them since it’s the purple legendary drops that carry you toward the power level cap of 650.
Grab your subclasses
The next goal is to unlock alternate subclasses and as early as possible. After completing a public event, you’ll receive a strange object that triggers a quest to earn your subclasses back. To earn your subclasses, complete public events until the subclass milestone directs you back to Earth. In Earth’s director map, a mission will take you to the Dark Forest where you’ll complete a short mission that unlocks your subclass. From there, continue leveling up to earn more Ability Points and unlock all of your classes’ perks and capabilities.
Each character class has three new perk trees for each subclass that becomes available in Forsaken. You get one of them by completing a mission during the story campaign that takes you to Io. After that, you need to complete the Blind Well event in the Dreaming City and find the way to unlock the others for each of your characters. That won’t be available until you complete the campaign and work your power level up to 500, though.
In Destiny 2: Forsaken, every class gains an additional three power trees you can unlock to further enhance your Guardian’s awesome abilities. To earn these upgrades, you’ll need to find special items called ‘Seeds of Light’ — the first one is easy, the other two? Well, that’s when things get a little more complicated.
Here, I’m going to break down everything you need to know if you’re aiming to unlock every power for your Guardian. There are some really good ones too, so it’s worth it. The first ‘Seed of Light’ is straight-forward, and possible to grab in the Tangled Shore. The other two can only be earned in the Dreaming City, which is difficult to unlock all on its own. Strap yourself in, and scroll down if you’re curious about earning all three power trees.

How To Unlock All Three Enhanced Subclasses 3 ‘Seeds of Light’ Guide
To unlock the bonus subclass power trees in Forsaken, you’ll need an item called a ‘Seed of Light’ — the first one is easy. The other two are hard. Here’s how to get all three.
Getting The First Seed of Light
Complete the first mission in the Destiny 2: Forsaken DLC and you’ll get a milestone to hunt down ‘Visions of Light’ — these items drop from boss enemies, or just randomly. Complete Public Events in the Tangled Shore, and you’ll earn 100% in no time.
After completing the challenge, you’ll be directed to Io to play through a story mission. Part of the way through the mission, you’ll gain the Seed of Light, and you can use it to get one of the three power trees. It’s very simple and straightforward.
Getting The Second & Third Seed of Light
The real challenge comes when you need to get the second and third Seed of Light. These are only available in The Dreaming City, a special location that can be unlocked after completing the Forsaken main story campaign. After finishing the story, talk to everyone on the Tower and in the Tangled Shore, and you’ll make a new mission appear.
Complete the mission to enter the Dreaming City. To get the Seeds of Light in the Dreaming City, you’ll need to complete a special Public Event called the Blind Well. The Blind Well is located in the cathedral, through the massive doors found in the Divalian Mists. At the top, you can activate the event with special items with different tiers. You can purchase these tiered items from Petra Venj in exchange for dark fragments.
To get the second Seed of Light, you need to complete the Tier 2 Blind Well. This challenge is recommended for Guardians with PL 520+. There’s a small chance a Seed of Light will drop, so it might take many attempts.
- When a Seed of Light does drop, a new mission will appear on Io. Complete it to unlock your next power upgrade.
The third Seed of Light drops from Kalli, the first boss in The Last Wish raid. Join a team and defeat this first challenging encounter to earn your third subclass.
