Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 2.0
I have had Windows 10 installed since November of 2016. I have Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 installed for six months on Window 10 version 1607. Every time I started the PC the Turbo Boost app would just flash on the desktop and then disappear.
So all new CPUs coming out (as you've noticed) all have Turbo-boost 2.0 technology boosting CPUs up to 1.0GHz (give or take) more! Example: My i7-3840QM mobile CPU is 2.8 GHz BOOSTED to 3.8GHz. Explaining Intel's Turbo Boost technology. The Turbo Boost technology in Intel's new Core i7 Mobile processor is positioned as a way to run the cores faster under certain circumstances-but that's.

Last week Windows 10 finally allowed my PC to update to version 1709. A friend told me to try and update while in 'Safe Mode'. I had to read how to enter 'Safe Mode' on windows 10 and tried to do the update but found that Microsoft doesn't allow updating in 'Safe Mode'.
Intel Turbo Boost 3.0
I had tried to update to version 1709 seven times. The last time was just before I figured out how to get Windows 10 into 'Safe Mode'.
After I found that Microsoft won't allow for updates in 'Safe Mode' I restarted the PC and ran windows update and was I surprised that the update actually worked. My PC now is on version 1709.
I haven't found any problems with my PC except when I start it up. All of a sudden the Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 app loads and stays displayed on the desktop. It doesn't just flash on for a moment and disappear while running in the background like it used to under the last few versions of Windows 10.
Does anyone know how to make the Intel app just flash on the desktop and then disappear like it did in version 1607? No settings to do that on the Intel App.
